Our Story
Grace and Joe met in Fall of 2007 during their first semester at Case Western Reserve University (sadly, this was in Cleveland, OH). Grace was working as a waitress at the Spartan Diner right by the freshman dorms (and ZBT, Joe’s fraternity house). Joe frequented the diner so often that Grace had his order memorized: case omelet, no home fries, and a Mountain Dew. After weeks of seeing the cutest girl on campus take his order, Joe finally asked for her number. They became friends.
Finally, Spring Semester of their Junior Year (aka January 2010) they decided to start dating. They both graduated in May of 2011 with degrees in Finance. Coincidentally, they both obtained full time jobs at PNC Bank in Cleveland after graduating. Joe and Grace lived in Cleveland for 2 years after graduating until they finally couldn't handle the mid-western hospitality any more. They knew they belonged on the east cost and settled on the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.

Our Engagement

Joe, the least sneaky person ever, was able to keep the engagement a surprise from Grace. He had planned the perfect day for them and tried to act as if it was no different than any other day (while completely panicking on the inside). They started off the day going to their favorite breakfast place and getting some delicious food. They then went to the King of Prussia Mall (Grace's favorite mall and one of their favorite weekend activities) where they finished up their Christmas Shopping. Ok, Joe finished his Christmas shopping because Grace was already done and with only 5 day until Christmas, of course Joe wasn't done yet.
While they were at the mall, Joe had their entire apartment transformed. Upon arriving home, Joe told Grace to leave their shopping bags in the car (which Grace thought was very odd), but she went along with it. She opened the door to a white runner covered in rose petals, surrounded by candles, and pictures of them throughout the 5 years they have been dating. Joe led Grace through the house to their dining room table, where a ring box was sitting. He dropped down to one knee and asked Grace "Will you Marry me?" to which her response was "Of Course," Joe than asked her if she would say "Yes" just to be certain.
